Getting rid of the Vodafone software on the Mac

If you hate the Vodafone software that ships for the Mac then there is an easy way to avoid using it. Once all the software is installed on your Mac and you are able to connect to the Vodacom 3G network follow the next steps.

1. Take the sim out of the modem

2. Put it into the cellular handset of choice

3. Go to your security settings and disable the pin request

4. Put it back into the modem.

You should now be able to just click on the internet connect icon in your menu bar and click connect.

Remove the Vodafone launcher from the dock and forget you ever saw it.
